SSAFA FORCES HELP provides welfare support, financial assistance, training, residential care and short term accommodation for separated families. They have a specialist housing and advice office:-
JSHAO - JOINT SERVICE HOUSING ADVICE OFFICE provides housing information and advice and can help place Service personnel and their dependants in suitable civilian accommodation.
THE ROYAL BRITISH LEGION provides advice with housing, welfare grants, convalescence and residential nursing homes and general advice on support available to ex-Service personnel.
COMBAT STRESS provides support to ex-Service personnel with mental health problems.
VETERANS AID has three housing centres and also offers advice and some financial assistance.
SHELTERLINE -Emergency advice 24 hours a day for anyone in housing difficulty is provided by shelterline.

SPACES is an accommodation placement centre designed specifically to provide help to single Service leavers seeking appropriate civilian housing.
VETERANS : UK is an Executive Agency of the Ministry of Defence and it is the focal point within the Ministry of Defence for offering help and advice to veterans and their families on a wide variety of veterans’ issues including, for example, health, financial, employment and accommodation.
SIR OSWALD STOLL FOUNDATION provides supported housing for disabled ex-Service personnel and to former homeless ex-Service personnel with mental health and/or alcohol abuse problems.
HOME BASE is a project operated by Community Housing and Therapy (CHT) offering supported housing accommodation for single ex-Service personnel looking for a home and a job in London.
EX-SERVICE HOMES REFERRAL AGENCY (ESHRA) aims to help older ex-Service personnel looking for a care home or sheltered accommodation.

SEAFARERS UK provides ‘a lifeline in troubled waters’ for veterans and serving members of the Naval Services, the Merchant Navy and Fishing Fleets, their families and dependants.
ROYAL ALFRED SEAFARERS’ SOCIETY provides residential and nursing care for retired or disabled former seamen. |
ROYAL AIR FORCE
ROYAL AIR FORCE BENEVOLENT FUND provides assistance to those of the extended Royal Air Force Family who need support as a consequence of poverty, sickness, disability, accident, infirmity or other adversity.
ROYAL AIR FORCES ASSOCIATION supports current and former members of the RAF and their dependants. Some sheltered and supported housing is available, long-term nursing care and convalescent and respite breaks. Financial assistance is also available. |

ARMY
ARMY BENEVOLENT FUND provides assistance in the form of financial help, through grants to individuals through the regimental or Corps Associations to supplement whatever the Association is able to provide. |
